Advanced Settings allow you to choose more options when publishing messages on Actimo.

You can find Advanced Settings when you click on Publish on the message composer and scroll to the end:

Expiration

Select an expiration date or lay down the time frame within which you want the message to be active.

If you select a time frame, you can choose the number of days you want the message to be available along with the time you wish for it to expire.

If you select a date, please note that the message will expire at the same time as you enable expiration. So if you select the expiration date to be August 6th, but you enable the setting on August 4th at 10.30 then the message will expire on August 6th at 10.30.
If you then edit the data again, the default will be 09.00.

Open limit

Set the number to prevent contacts from viewing the message after opening it a specific number of times.

Enable public link

If you want your message to be accessible publicly via URL (without having to log in to Actimo), you can enable this. It will also give you a QR code that you can use.
โ€‹NOTE: no data will be generated from a public link, which means that you can't track it in analytics.

Ask to add to the home screen

Adding the message to the home screen on a phone will ensure easy access to the message. When your recipients open the message, a pop-up will appear guiding them to add the message to the home screen.

Disable deeplinking

Deep linking makes your contacts able to access messages that haven't been published to them if that message is linked to a message that is published to them.

Example: Contact A has message X published to him. In message X there is a button that links to message Y. When deep linking is enabled, contact A will be able to access message Y through message X. Contact would not be able to access message Y without going through message X however.

When disabled, the message will only be available for contacts who have received the message or are part of a group to which it has been published.

A scenario could be: Originally, you created a message for a particular user group - employees in London. So you've sent out the message to this group and kept the deep link enabled. Then later, you want to make the message available for all users in the UK on the front page of your Actimo app. So you select the group(s) with all users in the UK, set the relevant category, and publish once more. The message is now available to everybody in the UK because deep linking was enabled.

When to disable deep links

However, in some cases, you'd like to make sure that only select users have access.
A scenario could be: You want to make sure that a particular message is only available to management and that no other messages link to this one by mistake. In this case, you'd disable deep linking in your message. When disabled you have access to this message under your control.

Example:

Below, you'll see how Anna - who's a member of the group employees in London - can access the message. Since she is a member of this group, she will have access from everywhere with or without deep linking enabled:

In the next grid, you can see how John from Manchester - who's not a member of the group employees in London - can get access to the message. As you can see, the only way John will gain access to the message is if other messages link to it from buttons, menus, or grids, and only if deep linking is enabled. Since he is not a member of the London group, he will not be able to access the messages from his lists. If deep linking is disabled, he will not have access to the message at all.

Anonymize statistics

Enabling 'Anonymize message statistics' will make all statistics and stats anonymized. You can still see statistics, but not who is part of the statistics.

This function can be used if you are doing something like a company-wide survey, where you want to see the statistics of the survey, but want the participants to be anonymous
