Updated today

Follow this guide to create an App Tour that gives your employees an introduction to the different areas of your app.

App Tour & Translatable App Tour:

If you want the app tour to be translatable, then jump to the Translatable App Tour section below.

App Tour

The App Tour is created in one message with several pages. Each page consists of a grid module with an image - and the end users navigate between the pages to go through the App Tour.

Step 1: Create the content for the app tour

  • Decide on the areas you want to include in your App Tour

  • Create one image per area (graphics and explanatory text)

    • Image size H900 x W600 pixels (to fit a grid module with 3 rows, 2 tiles per row)

Example of images for an App Tour:

You can use any kind of graphical design programme like Figma, Photoshop etc. to create the images.

Tip!
We recommend to include a back and forth arrow in the images to indicate that it is possible to navigate through the images.

Step 2: Create the App Tour in Actimo

Create a new message for the App Tour and follow these steps:

  • Add as many pages as you need for the App Tour

  • Add a grid module with 2 tiles per row and add 6 tiles on all pages

  • Add the image for each of the pages

  • Add the navigation in the tiles on all the pages

    • Tile 3 - add navigation to the previous page (except the first page)

    • Tile 4 - add navigation to the next page (except the last page)

  • Navigate to advanced settings on the page and remove the insights bar to get a β€œclean” App Tour

  • Publish the app tour if you want it to be searchable in the app
